General Navigation
By default, all articles from Digital Lethargia as well as remote feeds that you follow with the Diglet RSS reader will be mixed together on your front page. (See Remote Feeds with Diglet RSS Reader for steps to change this). You can drill down to specific feeds and categories by using the navigation menu to the left if your window is big enough:
If you are on a smaller window or mobile device, the same menu is accessible by clicking/tapping the arrow beside the Digital Lethargia title in the top left:
Anything under the "Local Feeds" section is content created by Digital Lethargia authors. Anything under the "Remote Feeds" section are items from RSS feeds that you are currently following. To view a complete article on its' own simply click/tap on the title. If the article is from an RSS feed, clicking on the title will open the source article in a new tab.
Sorting
The articles will be sorted from newest to oldest by default. If you wish to change this (e.g. if you are reading a comic or listing to a podcasts and would like the oldest displayed first), you can click/tap on the sort icon near the top right. Note that featured articles and unread responses to your support tickets are always displayed first.
Views
There are 3 views availble when viewing feeds on Digital Lethargia. Your choice will be remembered during your session. You can switch between them by using the view icons near the top right of the page:
Full
This is the default view, showing the full content for each article (Note that most articles from RSS feeds are previews of their full version).
Preview
This view shrinks the articles into small cards that can fit together on the same row. If there is a splash image associated with the article it will be on top, otherwise it will be the title followed by a snipped from the article. The article actions move to the bottom of the card in this view.
Headline
This view just shows a list of the article titles along with publish information and actions. It is the quickest way to review the content so that you can pick and choose what you want to read.
Reading/Saving Items
Once you have read an article on Digital Lethargia, you probably don't want to see it on your screen any more. To mark an item as read, click/tap on the checkmark icon at the top right of the article (Or bottom left in the preview view). The article will disappear and no longer show up in your list of items.
If an article interests you but you don't have time for it right now, or you simply want to keep it for reference, you can save it for later by clicking/tapping on the disk icon at the top right of the article (Or bottom left in the preview view). The article will disappear and no longer show up in your regular list of items. When you are ready to view the article, you can click on the "Saved for later" menu item to view your saved items. Saved items will be exempt from the regular cleanup of old articles from RSS feeds.
If you wish to mark an entire feed as read (e.g. Let's say you just followed a feed for a comic with hundreds of items, you may only want to see new items going forward), you can navigate to that feed from the menu, and then click the checkmark icon beside the feed tile at the very top of the page.
Undoing Read/Saved Items
If you need to bring back an item that you have marked as read, you can do so from your dashboard. Click/tap on the arrow beside "Followed Feeds" in the Your Stats section. A list of the feeds you currently follow will appear in the Items section. Beside each feed will show you how many articles you have read for that feed. You can view them by clicking/tapping the eye icon beside the number. To mark an item as unread, click on the unfilled checkmark icon at the top right of the article (Or bottom left in the preview view).
Similarly, from the "Saved for later" section, you can click on the trash icon to remove it from your saved items (It will be marked as read still).
